On behalf of the Prince Edward Island Chambers of Commerce Board of Directors I welcome you to our newest networking resource. The Internet Mixer! The Prince Edward Island Chambers of Commerce has a rich and varied history. It has been championing the cause of business in Prince Edward Island for over a century and continues to promote and support business and economic development. Today there are seven provincial chambers and all are active in the Chamber movement.

Internal Vision:
The P.E.I. Chambers of Commerce will be a forum for local Chambers of Commerce to share resources and ideas that will improve the economic environment of P.E.I., and enhance the growth of the Chamber Movement on the island.

External Vision:
The P.E.I. Chambers of Commerce will be a forum that articulates the collective provincial voice of the P.E.I. Chamber Movement on strategic provincial issues, and to add value to the activities of all local Chambers. Today the seven provincial Chambers and the regional Atlantic Provinces Chambers of Commerce operate under a common set of by-laws and serve as a federation of more than 100 local Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade representing more than 16,000 businesses and professional people in Atlantic Canada.

The principal role of the P.E.I. Chambers of Commerce is to be the advocate for business interests in not only Prince Edward Island, but regionally at the Atlantic Provinces Chambers of Commerce, and nationally at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

Our objectives are basic but focused:

• Assemble / bring together the business community for economic and business development
• Network local chambers/board’s and their members, and
• Enable the business community to speak with a common voice.
